1. I can learn Pro/E on my own. Why should I take a class?
Users can learn Pro/E on their own, but sometimes the results
are decreased productivity, bad modeling techniques, lack of
confidence, frustration, and job dissatisfaction. Even the best
and the brightest employees will learn proper techniques in
less time if they attend a structured, instructor led class
that focuses on the principles of the software that give them
a competitive advantage.
2. How will I ever make up for a week of lost production?
You will more than make up the week of lost production in productivity
gains that you will realize from the time invested in instructor
led training. The reality is that companies profit through productivity
gains that pay off time after time when their employees miss
a week of work for good educational activities.
3. What assurance do I have that the instructors are prepared and the training material is good?
Our instructors are certified by PTC in each class that they
teach. The process for certification is rigorous and requires
that instructors not only be very knowledgeable in the curriculum
but also be experienced and adept at delivering the material
to the audience. The training material itself is developed by
a team of engineers, education specialists, and Pro/E experts
with the primary objective of giving people the skills to perform
their job while achieving a competitive advantage. All participants
have the opportunity to evaluate the course and the instructor,
and these evaluations are used to continuously improve the training
experience.
4. How can I justify the cost of training?
Training is an investment in your future and the future of your
business. Here are two quotes that we think are particularly
applicable:
"An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest."
- Benjamin Franklin
"Each dollar invested in employee learning and education had a greater than $30 return on investment."
- John Blanchette
5. Wouldn't it be a better use of our resources to send one person to training, and let that person teach the rest of our team?
Even if your chosen employee/instructor is knowledgeable in
adult learning techniques, it will be difficult for that person
to develop and deliver effective training in a timely manner.
PTC has spent close to 15 years developing an effective curriculum
that teaches performance skills in the shortest time possible.
In addition, they have certified software and education specialists
already prepared to deliver the material in the best way that
it can be retained and used to enhance job performance.
6. The company will fall apart if I am gone. Do I really need Pro/E training?
Undoubtedly you are an important member of your organization.
With your experience, you could become more valuable to your
employer through improved productivity if you invest in developing
Pro/E skills. In fact, it is the people like you who usually
make the most profitable contributions during a Pro/E implementation.
7. What if I invest in my employees' training and they leave?
The latest studies on employee retention show that offering
valuable training and career development is one of the best
ways to keep people.
"Smart organizations recognize that a learning and performance
plan is as much a strategic tool as a marketing or finance plan."
- American Society for Training and Development
"The only thing worse than training good employees and
having them leave is NOT training your employees and keeping
them."
- Zig Zigler

All classroom training is billable as pre-pay. On-Site training is billable 50% at time of order/scheduling, and 50% balance due upon completion of training.
In order to reschedule OR cancel a class, TriStar must be notified in writing at least 12 business days prior to the class start date. Any cancellations made after the 12 business day window will be charged at 100% of the class price (no refunds or reschedules – this includes student “no shows”), even if payment has not yet been received. Note: Student assigned to class registrations may be changed / substituted at any time up to the start of class with no additional charge.
If payment is not received at least 12 business days prior to the start of class, registration will be cancelled. If registering within the 12 day class window payment is required in full at time of registration and above policy applies.
TriStar reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or relocate courses on or before six business days prior to the start of the course. In instances where a course is cancelled a credit will be issued to the account and payment can be applied to the account for any other product or service offering from TriStar for up to one year.
For on-site training, all efforts will be made to utilize local resources when possible. In the event this is not possible or geographic distances are excessive, travel and/or living expenses will be billed as actual (estimated to be $350/day).
