I have installed eDrawings Professional for Solid Edge but cannot find *.par or other Solid Edge file formats in eDrawings Open file menu?

The eDrawings Viewer can not open Solid Edge files directly. The software consists of Solid Edge publisher and the eDrawings viewer. The publisher is an add-on on Solid Edge. After installing the software, click on Publish in eDrawings toolbar in Solid Edge to publish the opened Solid Edge model to eDrawings. Alternatively you can click on Tools/Add-Ins/eDrawings/Publish to publish open model to eDrawings.

You can export Part (*.par), Assembly (*.asm), Drafting (*.dft) and Sheet Metal ( *.psm) to eDrawings.

My eDrawings toolbar keeps disappearing, what is the reason?

eDrawings toolbar appears only when a document that is supported in eDrawings is open. If no document or an unsupported document is open, eDrawings toolbar is removed. In case the toolbar is invisible even when a supported document is open, you'll need to explicitly load the eDrawings publisher add-in. This can be done by selecting eDrawings in Tools/Add-Ins/Add-in Manager Dialog.

The eDrawings toolbar is not visible by default. It is only visible when one of the supported file type is loaded in Solid Edge.

You do not require any additional software to be installed for viewing eDrawings, although you will need Solid Edge in order to publish eDrawings directly from inside these applications.

If a review-enabled eDrawings file is sent in either executable (.exe), masked executable (.ex_) or HTML (.htm) format, the recipient does not have to have eDrawings Viewer installed to markup a review-enabled eDrawings file.
