TriStar Acquires PTC Platinum Reseller Belcan Information Technology

PHOENIX, AZ – Mar. 10, 2008 – TriStar, Inc. announced today that it has acquired Belcan Information Technology, Belcan Corporation’s PTC software, services and training division. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition expands TriStar’s presence in the Midwest U.S., with Belcan’s workforce joining the TriStar team. Belcan’s customers will continue to work with the sales and engineering team they have come to trust, now backed by TriStar’s reliability and financial strength along with their complete line of products and services.

As part of the sale, Belcan has transferred to TriStar its five PTC Certified Training Centers located in Chicago, Milwaukie, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Raleigh. “Belcan’s instructors have consistently been recognized by PTC for their outstanding performance,” said TriStar’s president, Patrick Maderia. “We welcome their expertise and are confident in the commitment they will bring to the TriStar team and our customers.”

With today’s reality of geographically dispersed product development teams, the expanded service area provides the companies’ combined customers more local access to all of TriStar’s resources, which include PLM and engineering consulting, professional staffing services, and custom workstations and servers in addition to PTC software and training.
