NewsTriStar Announces New Additions to Its Server LineupPhoenix, AZ – June 19, 2007 – TriStar Computer announced today the immediate availability of several new additions to its server lineup. Utilizing Intel Xeon 3000 and 5000 sequence processors, TriStar’s new line of server platforms offer a wide variety of form factors to meet the varying needs of its diverse customer base. TriStar’s goal is to provide the engineering industry a “Total Solution” of hardware, software, training and consulting. “We want to ensure the PTC software products we sell are completely supported,” said Bob Powers, TriStar Hardware Division Manager. “This includes developing hardware configured specifically for the Windchill environment.” TriStar’s new entry level StarServer X3 is based on Intel’s S3000AH server board populated with a Dual-Core Intel Xeon 3000 Sequence processor. Designed to accommodate engineering workgroups of up to 10 users, StarServer X3s provide enterprise performance and reliability at an affordable price. TriStar has introduced two new platforms for larger PDM server environments supporting up to 25 users, the StarServer X5 and StarServer RX5. Both utilize Intel’s new S5000VSA Server Board based on next generation 5000 Sequence technology for reliability and easy scalability.
